WCG 2010 Pan-American Championship Preview
The World Cyber Games have returned this year with another Pan-American Championship. This year the event will be taking place in Sao Paulo, Brazil at the Shopping Eldorado. Their will be four title games played at the event which include Counter-Strike 1.6, FIFA10, Guitar Hero 5, and StarCraft:Brood War where players from 11 countries (Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, Chile, Ecuador, El Salvador, Mexico, Panama, Peru and the United States) will battle it out for a piece of the $10,000 prize pot.
The Counter-Strike 1.6 tournament will feature 7 teams that will be battling it out for a piece of the $4,250 prize pot. Area51 Gaming's Counter-Strike 1.6 team will representing Canada. The seven teams participating at this event are as follows:
