Suave Gaming fills the CoD:MW2 void in Area51

Recently the current Battlefield: Bad Company 2 vacated the position of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 to make the transition to their current game. Area51Gaming realized there was still a need and community for the popular sequel to the popular Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare (however screwed up IW may have made the game). Soon Suave Gaming came to the Area 51 staff wanting to fill the void that had been created. It was a natural selection as Suave Gaming had an already impressive resume' in Modern Warfare 2. I sat down with Jordan "kz" Tanner and have the opportunity to learn about yet another team we're adding to the family. Here is what he had to say:

Can you tell us a little about yourselves?

All of us are past and now present players of call of duty, I was out of gaming after call of duty 2 and the most recent of the cod series was mw2. After picking the game up, I instantly was looking to compete again, with the lack of dedicated servers I almost felt that there wouldn't be any competition worth competing in I was quickly proven wrong. While participating in TWL, I quickly started to grow friendships with players from my past, mainly moderno. After starting up a team that originally was for fun, I grew my drive to play this game at the highest level possible, and quickly surrounded myself around the best possible players I could. We currently compete in TWL - WOGL - and MW2T. I've taken a back seat on playing and went down a more managerial route but still scrim and play in matches when the team needs me.

What led to you ultimately choosing to play for Area 51 Gaming?

I remembered Area 51 Gaming from, vcod and really wanted to be apart of a prestigious organization. I knew that Area 51 was always a well respected team, and I knew they were without a mw2 team. So, us as a team were determined to prove ourselves in the mw2 field, and do as best as we possibly could, to show Area 51 that there was competition and we were amongst the best. Quickly after talking to vertigo, I felt right at  home. I felt I was apart of a team that, I could play with, for future games to come.

What leagues are you planning on participating in? What do you think is the hardest league, and do you have any aspirations to compete at any LANs?

As I mentioned before, we are currently participating in TWL, WOGL, and MW2T. There is a future league of IGL we plan to compete in and any other league that pops up. The hardest league by far would be the MW2T which we are currently in the semi-finals with a huge match against try hards tomorrow night ( which will be shout casted by clutch tv ) Yes we are very much so interested in competing in LANS, as of right now we are looking in to playing at Lanapalooza, a Kentucky lan and also there is one in Florida which there still talking to about the rule set.

What do you guys enjoy doing when not gaming?

I personally, when I'm not gaming am watching sports or hanging out with my girlfriend, I'm a huge follower of baseball and I have family in the field so I tend to follow that a lot. I know Mike ( NazgL ) is quite the skateboarder and Nick ( Wrecktangle ) is my guy I go to for advice on new chew flavors.

What are some upcoming events or projects the team is working on?

Our main focus of now, is on MW2T however, we really want to prove to the team how good we are and inspire to be the best team by winning the TWL playoffs and the same in WOGL when it begins.

Do you guys delve into any other games, even for fun?

Personally, If I do it's on console, I know that a few of the members play LOL ( league of legends I think ? ) But, I like a lot of sports games, and heavy rain for the ps3 caught my interest also.

Once again I'd love to give a hearty welcome to yet another professional team that you will likely be hearing more of in the MW2 realm. Look for Area51Gaming MW2 to be screaming to the top of the ladders and tournaments you're going to participate in.
