Round 4 of the CEVO-Main Season 11 Playoffs Next

Tonight the Area51.cs team played their 3rd round match of the CEVO-Main Season 11 Playoffs against synchronicity who is currently ranked 7th in the standing. The match took place on CEVO's very own de_tuscan which if you ask anyone in the community is basically de_cpl_mill with some small changes.

The match started off with Area51.cs on the Counter-Terrorist side while synchronicity was on the Terrorist side. The first half was pretty close but eventually would fall in Area51's favor with some clutch rounds by Josh "PineKone" Springer, Eric "Lbs" Pounds and Ted "LuckeyTed" Weinrich closing out the half 8-7. As for the second half it seemed like synchronicity was unable to get any real momentum and thus lost the second half 8-3 giving Area51.cs the 16-10 win.

With Area51.cs recent win over synchronicity they advance to Round 4 of the upper bracket CEVO-Main Season 11 Playoffs where they are set to play Backfire. Backfire currently sits in 2nd place in the standings and is the only team to defeat Area51.cs during the regular season (week 6-1). Round 4 of the upper bracket is set to be played on the spamtastic de_nuke.  Going into this match it looks as if Area51.cs has the advantage on de_nuke as they were able to accumulate 32 rounds won and only 7 rounds lost (2-0) on de_nuke regular season matches. Backfire on the other hand was able to accumulate 28 rounds won and 18 rounds lost (1-1) on de_nuke regular season matches.

It will be interesting to see if the regular season loss to Backfire still lingers in the team members heads or if their current hot streak of 9 wins is enough to wipe their brains clean.
