QuakeCon 2010 Day Two
Yesterday marked the second day of QuakeCon2010 for Area51Gaming.com. The Area51 Quake Live Duelers played quite a few matches about 14 in total. First up was Titan who unfortunately after defeating nagyon two maps to none had to play klaovhwN and was defeated and thus eliminated from the tournament. Next up for Area51 was the good ole Canadian Gillz who played some great matches against what seemed to be some easy opponents, defeating sponge and Bisquack in a quick 2-0 fashion to advance to the double elimination bracket. Finally boots got a chance to play some matches were he destroyed Honix and the wuss in yet another 2-0 fashion to also advance to the double elimination bracket.
After about an hour and a half break both Gillz and boots were informed that they have released the new brackets and seedings for the double elimination bracket were boots pulled in the #1 seed and gillz secured the #7 seed. Gilllz first match was against IceTrain who he defeated 14-0 onxtntourney1 and 30-2 on phantq3dm1. Gillz is currently set to play klaovhwn on Saturday morning for round 2 of the upper bracket. Boots ended up playing his first round against DetonatoR who he defeated quite easily. Boots next match is still undecided as he has to wait for a match to play before the brackets are updated.
Also the ugly network monster had hit QuakeCon again last night as all matches were not able to go past round one of the double elimination brackets.
