New Call Of Duty Announced
The game is indeed being developed by Treyarch, who have previously made Call of Duty: World at War and Call of Duty 3 between Infinity Ward-developed Call of Duty titles. But other than that and the release date, the website reveals very little about Black Ops -- not even a setting. The prevailing rumor has been the game would be set in the Vietnam War, but the title "Black Ops" doesn't suggest confirmation of that one way or another. It does suggest, though, that another prevailing rumor may have been accurate: that the game would not only be set in Vietnam, but a number of various Cold War-era hot spots and proxy conflicts. The release also mentions Black Ops (as the subtitle suggests) will "take players behind enemy lines." The release also includes a statement from Treyarch studio head Mark Lamia, saying, "We have focused our entire studio on this game, with dedicated multiplayer, single-player and co-op teams creating the most intense, gripping and riveting experience possible for our fans on all fronts."
Surely more information on Black Ops will be coming soon, and Treyarch's Twitter account also reveals the world premier trailer will air on tonight's episode of GameTrailers TV.Source: 1up
