We are looking for eight more participants who will fight in the Intel Extreme Masters American Championship. The top two of our four qualification cups will be joined by eight invited players to fight for a slot in the finals. Prize money awaits everyone who reaches the American Championship.

System
For a detailed look on the tournament system you should check out tournament website. That means the top two of each qualifier cupwill advance to the American Championship main round. The number one of each group will be directly qualified for the American Championship Finals, while the second and third placed players will face each other to advance to the Finals.

Whether or not the QuakeLive season will be played entirely online or with LAN finals will be known in the coming weeks, but we can already release a part of the prize money information.

The Qualification Cups
Three of the four qualifier cups will be played on one day completely, but the second qualifier cup will be played on two days. Each cup will have 32 slots, but can be increased to 64 slots, for each round of the cup there is an one hour timelimit and players have to be at the official irc channel #esl.quakelive (Gamesurge) during the tournament. If a player fails to show up until 15 minutes after the start of a round he gets disqualified.
