ESEA League Season 5 Announced
Well with the 4th season of the ESEA League coming to a close this past
weekend ESEA has officially announced the details for the 5th season.
The
biggest thing you will probably notice off the bat is that ESEA has
upped the prize pot yet again. This season they will be paying out a
total of $45,000 (previously $40,000 last season). Also after successfully adopting the LAN finals for the Counter-Strike: Source division ESEA has decided to included Team Fortress 2 Invite LAN playoffs for the top 4 teams to go along with Counter-Strike 1.6 and Counter-Strike: Source.
Registration for Season 5 will open this Wednesday, the 11th, and close Monday November 30th at 10:00pm EST. Once registration closes there will be a week for teams to get acquainted with the system and to schedule their first matches, which will begin Sunday December 6th. Regular season action will continue for two weeks before a two week break for the holidays with matches resuming on Sunday January 3rd. During the holiday break there will be free Premium tournaments for all league games that will provide convenient excuses to dodge further time with the family.
When registration officially opens on Wednesday their will be more details on the prize pot as well as any team move ups.
