CSPromod Update
Yep, thats right I said their is a update to the Counter-Strike
Professional Modification (CSPromod). For those of you that have not
really been following or know what CSPromod is it is basically
Counter-Strike 1.6 game play with Counter-Strike:Source graphics.
The project itself was first started in 2006 with an attempt to bring a fully-customizable version of Counter-Strike 1.6 to the Source Engine for the purposes of growing competitive play and broadcast spectatorship. The first initial beta release of CSPromod was in October 2007 and represented about nine months of work for the parties involved. The first public release showed great promise but yet was a disaster as their were numerous bugs that had yet to be worked out. In late October the CSPromod development team started releasing updated beta patches that fixed many of the issues that were brought up by the community but it still seemed the community was not all that impressed with CSPromod. With that said the CSPromod developers decided they would do private testing until as they said " we have something exciting to share with the community".
Well it looks like that time has come for the community as the CSPromod development team has been busy this week first releasing a new website on Monday and today releasing a map preview video that shows some great promise for the future of CSPromod.
