CS 1.6 Team Update
The CS 1.6 team is at a low point but we've been here before and we're pushing through it. Our ESEA record stands at a dismal 1-7 due to some bad luck and bad plays. I can say that missing out on a year and a half of Pro level play has made me realize that its going to take some time to get back into form but it is going to happen.
The plan is to:
1. Finnish out ESEA-Invite strong so that we can attend the LAN playoffs in Dallas, Texas. Even if we don't win another game online it is a completely different story on LAN. Though if that scenario did play out and we went to Texas with such a low seed we'd have to play the best team first but I'm confident that we'd plow the lower brackets and make our way up the rankings.
2. Make Cevo Pro.
Cevo season 11 is back in action and with that comes the chance to qualify for the pro division. Teams are selected for this division based on our first season's performance (top six) and victories in the Professional Placement Tournament (top 10). The Professional Placement Tournament consists of 16 teams in a double elimination, best of three maps format, with the top six (6) advancing to the Professional Division. The ten (10) teams that do not qualify for the Professional Division will play in the Main Division. The Professional Placement Tournament is utilized so as to remove subjective opinions and any influence of people from the selection process. Teams for CEVO-P qualify exclusively based on their proven performance against other top caliber teams.
Round 1 - Thursday, June 18th
Round 2 - Sunday, June 21st
Round 3 - Monday, June 22nd
Round 4 - Tuesday, June 23rd
3. Attend a local NJ LAN (Espot).
It would be nice to attend a local east LAN after being out of the dog fight for a while. Myself, Mehler, Ted and PineKone have been to countless local east LANS together so this would be an easy LAN to attend and one more step to knocking the rust off. The Event Date is July 11th and the 12th at the Espot LAN center in Jersey City, NJ.
