Call of Duty 4 Update
As some of you may or may not know, riskk and myself competed in Call of Duty 2 for Area51 back in 2006 and 2007. We also formed a new Call of Duty 4 team during season 3 of CoD4. Since season 3 ended, we both went separate ways, riskk took on the leadership role by himself as I went inactive due to the demands of my school work. Riskk went on to take the team to CEVO-P during season 4 while I rode the roster, still busy with school. With the end of school and the conclusion of season 4, I decided to make my return, but there was obviously no room on the current team for me and I didn't want to burden them with my presence since they had been having much success. So, I teamed up with melkor, who also competed for Area51 in CoD2, and we formed a second Area51 team.
Long story short, both 51.CoD4
teams were invited to compete in the placement tournament due to the experience
each roster housed. Both teams finished 2-0 in the placement tournament and
were invited to compete in the 5th season of CEVO-P. Secondly, a new
league titled CyberGamer has started up and they also have an invite division
of their own. Riskk's team was moved into the invite division, no strings attached,
while my team had to compete in the placement tournament. We won our match and
are, too, going to be competing in the CG-Invite league. So, there you have it;
a short summary of both teams and their road to CEVO-Professional/CG-Invite. CEVO-Professional and CG-Invite will both feature the 10 best teams in North America.
