Area51 Css Usa Stuns Zomblerz In Lanchamp Qualifie

After a rough season of playing 4v5 in ESEA invite due to roster move problems, Area51.USA was on the downswing coming into the summer. Late roster problems plagued the team all season, it seemed like a lost cause. But with LANchamp coming up, Area51.USA was not about to give up and surrender. After a roster addition and a lot of practice this week, Area51.USA geared up for their most important best of 3 matchup against the One Eyed Zomblerz, the 4th place finisher of the last lanchamp and current esea playoff/cevo p playoff qualifiers.

The first map was on de_Train, which started off in Area51's favor winning pistol. However, after the pistol it seemed like zomblerz had 51's number with their T side strats and managed to pull off 9 rounds on T side making it 9-6 in favor of zomblerz. 51 was not about to go down without a fight winning several key rounds on T side, but in the end it seemed like the zomblerz were very strong on train. The map ended in a 16-9 victory for them. Area51 needed a spark to take the next 2 maps of they would be finished yet again. With a combined team effort and key frags especially from trerobinson and a 1v3 clutch by a!M., Area51.CSS made it known that they weren't going to go down without a fight. Against 2 of the best awpers in the world, Area51 was making key entry picks and winning rounds. It was a back and forth fight, 8-7 first half zomblerz. After many lag issues and server packeting, giving both teams 10k on each restart -- making money and saving not an issue. 51 dug deep and managed to pull of a victory on dust2, winning 9-6 second half on Terrorist side. Could this be a momentum changer or just a fluke?

Last map and the deciding map was on de_inferno, which has been known to be zomblerz strongest map. Area51 started off on defense, and held down their strong pushes to a 9-6 ct half. Not bad, but they aren't out of the woods yet. They would need to win 7 terrorist rounds to win and pull off a huge upset. We did just that. 7 terrorist rounds were won, with the clutch round occuring in the last round....giving 51 a 16-14 win. So that's it! Area51.USA has defeated zomblerz in 3 maps to move on to the elite 8. One more best of 3 win and we will be participating in the Baltimore LANchamp finals. 9-16, 16-14, 16-14 were the scores.
