Just like last year's QuakeCon both capture the flag and duel tournaments will feature, an open tournament once again for"amateurs and up-and-coming competitors". All tournaments combined will net a total of $52,000 in prize money.

All three of Area51 Gaming's Quake Live duelers will be in attendance, Bryan "Gillz" Gilbert, Dalton "boots" DeMaria, and Sklyer "Titain" Glass and they will be competing in the QuakeLive 1vs1 Open tournament unless changed by tournament admins. Bryan has been in Texas since August 8th bootcaming with lost cauze and titan trying to get some great practice in for the event. Dalton was not really sure he could attend the event until last minute but has been practicing hard to prepare for the event as much as possible.

Both myself and Ares will be on-site providing as much content and news coverage we can get our hands on to keep everyone update.We will also be rolling out a new feature here on Area51 Gaming.com once the tournaments get underway.

General Update: With the internet access being total fubar we are currently limited to how much coverage we can provide at certain times. We are doing our best to ensure pictures/video from each day are uploaded as frequently as possible.
