Area51.L4D - Infected Cup 2 Champions Posted by Skitch on 04/08/2009
After making it through the toughest tier in the whole Infected Cup 2 tournament by defeating ParaGon and Inexorable, we went into the finals with a lot of confidence. The finals once again came down to a hard-fought battle against Reason Gaming on Blood Harvest.

We defeated Reason Gaming, the previous Infected Cup champions, with a dominant score of 8307 - 3990. It was once again proven that we are the team to beat in competitive Left 4 Dead.

All five of us were awarded with professional gaming mouse pads from PureTrak for our troubles. You can view our selection here. We wish to thank PureTrak for their contribution.

The Infected Cup 2 was viewed by the entire community as the first major L4D tournament. This tournament consisted of 64 teams and spanned across four weeks with two matches per week. Any rankings prior to this point were based solely on opinions, so it is nice to finally have an actual Top 10 list.

We look forward to CEVO and plan on making a big splash at any upcoming LANs.
