The moment all Canadian fans have been waiting for.  World Cyber Games today announced that Montreal will play host to the 2010 WCG Canadian Championship.  The event will take place on September 3-5 in the downtown area.  Exact location will be confirmed soon.

"We are extremely close to reaching an agreement with a renowned institution", said Stephan Richard, Executive Director WCG Canada.  "What I can say is that this will be one of the largest, if not the biggest computer and video game competition of the year.  We are so excited to celebrate WCG's 10th year anniversary in Montreal".

Counter-Strike and Guitar Hero 5 are the first two game titles selected for this year's Canadian championship.  More games will be announced soon.

Canadian champions will represent Canada at this year's WCG Grand Final in Los Angeles.  The world finals will take place September 30 - October 3.
