This past Sunday (December 13th) Area51 announced a new Area51.dota team as we were looking to burst back into the the dota scene. With that being said North American DotA Syndicate has recently just announced they will be hosting a new tournament series called Sunday Night Cups which Area51.dota will be competing in. This will be the first tournament the new Area51.dota squad will be competing in since joining the Area51 Gaming family.

North American DotA Syndicate's idea is to hold Sunday Night Cup tournaments every week to restore some activity to the North American DotA scene. The last major event that happened for the scene was the grand final for Cyber Evolution Professional league, where the now disbanded EG beat Blight.usa.

The first ever Sunday Night Cup is set to be a 16 team tournament single elimination bracket broken down into four rounds.
