Back on July 27,2009 GameGune announced they would be hosting a second event after a successful first event in Bilbao, Spain. The event was eventually dubbed GameGune Mexico and is set to take place September 10-13 at La Aldea Digital Party in Mexico City, Mexico and have a similar prize pool of 22,500 just as the event in Bilbao, Spain did. GameGune Mexico in contrast too GameGune 2009 will be 16 team tournament and be a double elimination Best of Three bracket with no group play. Teams from all over North and South American along with some Europeans have been sending in emails for invites to the event which was cut off on August 21,2009. Their are currently still 6 open spots according to the provisional list released by HLTV.org. The list includes the following teams.

On a side note after looking at the list I was kind of shocked to see that compLexity Gaming was not on their as I thought they would be.
